Luke Maggiore
Director / Head Coach
Luke Maggiore is the Director & Founder of Purebred Fitness. With 10 + years experience in the fitness industry he is a true specialist in all things health and wellbeing.
At Luke’s core is his desire to mentor his clients to excel and become their best self, not just physically, but also mentally.
Luke’s driven by constant growth and is forever taking on his next challenge from marathons, triathlons, iron man events, ultras and body building competitions.
Isaac Lucien
Head of Performance & Operations
Isaac Lucien joins the team with extensive experience within the fitness industry from personal training countless clients to his most recent senior manager role overseeing the operations of 8 gyms spanning 2 states.
Isaac is a subject matter expert in all things; strength, resistance and cross fit training and hones on the importance of form and technique at the heart of every workout.
Max Lees
Coach
Transitioning from a career in building to pursue his passion for health and fitness, Max brings a unique blend of experience and dedication to every training session. With a background in CrossFit, strength training and a love for gymnastics, Max is committed to helping individuals achieve their health and fitness goals. In 2024, Max became a Torian Pro athlete ranking 24th against the 40 fittest men in the Oceania region.
Max is dedicated to making a positive impact in the lives of those he trains. He looks forward to working with Purebred clients to reach their health and fitness aspirations, one step at a time.
Michaela Sargeant
Coach
Following completion of her studies, Michaela started working as a Physical Education teacher, after completing her CERT III and CERT IV in fitness, her passion for all things health and wellbeing lead her to transition into coaching and personal training as a full-time career.
Michaela has more than 6 years experience in industry and is renowned for her capabilities as a trainer – running a thriving personal business, alongside working as a senior coach at Purebred she is a true ambassador of what we believe in at Purebred and is an integral part of the family like culture we are fortunate to have.
Michaela is a specialist in pre and post-natal care, boxing, strength and fat loss.
Lara Saunders
Coach
Meet our youngest coach at the gym, Lara. She is currently studying a degree in Exercise and Sports Science, and her passion for fitness and wellness is evident in everything she does. Lara’s journey in the fitness industry began at a young age, where she discovered the transformative power of exercise and its ability to positively impact one’s physical and mental health.
As a coach, Lara brings a unique perspective to the table, combining her academic knowledge with her real-world experience in the gym. She is dedicated to helping clients achieve their goals, whether that means losing weight, building muscle, or improving their overall fitness level.
In addition to her coaching duties, Lara is also an avid fitness enthusiast herself. She enjoys experimenting with new workouts and pushing her own limits, and she believes that this passion for self-improvement is what sets her apart as a coach.
Sarah Hoareau
Coach
Sarah comes to the PB family with extended knowledge, a positive energy and a respectful manner that is truly a great pleasure to be around! Sarah is a third year Exercise Science student at UOW and is an Accredited ASCA Strength and Conditioning coach, with a particular passion for women’s physiology.
Growing up playing a wide variety of sports and with a strong love of training in gyms herself, she has grown a strong curiosity over the years for understanding the role exercise plays in our physical and mental well-being, specifically resistance training. Her aim as a coach is to create a welcoming and supportive environment, where people can develop a better understanding of their bodies and find joy in movement and educational experience in the health and fitness industry.
Scott French
Coach
A strength and conditioning coach with close to 20 years’ experience in the fitness industry.
Scott grew up in a small, coastal town called Kingscliff. Being active is second nature to Scott, growing up playing sports including soccer, touch football and cricket. He has a strong belief in learning to move well so that you can move for longer, and that fitness and your lifestyle can go hand in hand – helping others achieve this is something he is passionate about. Join our lead Strength Coach, Scott, in any of our weekly Strength classes.
Natalie Fatches
Yoga Instructor
After falling in love with the yoga practice over 10 years ago, Nat began her yoga teaching experience and has been an avid lover and participator of yoga since then. Her life changed for the better in so many ways after discovering yoga, and is now trained in vinyasa, yin and restorative yoga. You will find Nat at the gym training during the day as she balances life as a mum to two little ones, a full time corporate career and starting a new career in her true passion of Naturopathy, along with her yoga practice.
Toneya Price
Head of Digital & Social Media
Toenya is passionate content creator by heart and the creative force behind all content spanning the Purebred socials. With a passion for all things content and a knack for digital storytelling, Toneya is dedicated to spreading the word about our gym’s mission and values. With a background in Public Relations and Communications, Toneya is a connoisseur of all things digital and has immersed herself in the captivating world of social media and copywriting, diving deep into video editing and content creation along the way.
With a deep understanding of the latest social media trends, Toneya ensures that Purebred’s online presence remains fresh, relevant, and exciting. They are always on the lookout for innovative ways to connect with our audience and create meaningful interactions.
Gemma Maggiore
Operations Manager
Gemma has been with the Purebred team for over 3 years bringing an outgoing and vibrant attitude to the team. Gem is our behind the scenes magic maker who effectively and efficiently handles yearly challenges, social events, resourcing, administrative and support services.
Tiara Wano
Client Experience & Operations Support
When you come to Purebred Fitness, Tiara will greet you with a big smile and is always ready to help with whatever you need. She’s all about going the extra mile to support and encourage every member. Her positive energy and dedication make her a key part of our team, always inspiring everyone to crush their fitness goals.
Connie Ferrazzano
Creche
Connie joins the Purebred Team with 10 years experience working with children. Connie has worked as a disability support worker along side working in numerous Crèches. She is enthusiastic and approachable and you can often find her with a smile on her face looking after your bubs or joining in on a PB class. Connie has a current Working with Children’s Check and has 3 children of her own.
Charlee Michel
Creche
Previously a chef at a Sydney private school before having a baby of my own.
Charlee is an energetic and outgoing person who loves looking after kids with previous experience in another gym crèche.
She has a passion for her own health and wellbeing and a love for baking cakes as a side business – so always allowing herself a treat!
Nikki Lancaster
Accredited Dietician & Nutritionist
Nikki, is an Accredited Practising Dietitian and Cooking Coach who runs a mobile Cooking & Nutrition school that operates with the belief that food is more than just the nutrients we nourish our bodies with, but it is also a means of enjoyment, socialising, emotions and creativity.
Nikki is instrumental in supporting all things nutrition and diet plans at Purebred, you will often see her supporting our challenge programs and facilitating cooking classes with our members. Through presentations, demonstrations, hands-on experiences and 1:1 coaching that Nikki educates and upskills on all things food and nutrition, helping individuals build healthier relationships with food.
